All items are available in either porcelain or stoneware. Select the glaze finish from the samples. All glazes are ovenproof, waterproof, dishwasher, and microwave safe.

French Butter Dish
Legend has it that years ago the French developed a system for storing their butter without refrigeration. They designed a pottery vessel like this one in which the butter was neatly packed into the lid of the pot. Then enough water was put in the bottom to cover the lower edge of the lid creating a vacuum sealed container to store the butter safely. Our French Butter Dishes work on the same principle. These storage vessels hold about a stick of butter and keep your butter fresh and soft without refrigeration. They look beautiful too!
